Recently, General Vice President Nathan A. Saunders along with Cornell Brown, Facilities Director visited Tyler ES, Brent ES, and Thomas ES to see first hand the poor conditions of schools has reported by WTU Members.  Saunders plans to visit schools on a monthly basis with Mr. Brown to document the conditions of the teaching and learning environments has reported by Union members.  If you have major facilities issues and have not yet submitted them to the WTU, please do so immediately.  Your school may be added to the growing list of facilties site visits in the upcoming months!  Fax your maintenance request sheets to 202.293.8635.  Please include your name and contact information.
Update:
We have posted the proposed resolution of Saunders V Hankerson, the suit brought by General Vice President, Nathan Saunders, against the former Execuctive Board of the WTU, the WTU's former Board of Trustees, and others.

"Mr. Saunders’s lawsuit arises from the alleged embezzlement of approximately five million dollars in union funds by former officials of the WTU. The individuals directly involved in the alleged wrongdoing were indicted and processed through the criminal justice system."
